BINIT

terms

The whole of it

BINIT is a tool you run on your own phone, against your own mailbox. There is no account to make and no service to sign up to. It only ever does something because you pressed something. One payment, once — nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel.

Who you're dealing with

These terms are the agreement between you and Iam The Protagonist Ltd, trading as BINIT and The It Group ("we", "us"). We are a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 16842280, registered office 60 Hay Lane, London, NW9 0NB. Email theitgroupapps@gmail.com.

By downloading or using BINIT you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

Who can use it

Your licence to use the app

We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use BINIT on devices you own or control, for your own use, under these terms and the rules of the store you got it from. You may not copy, modify, sell, rent, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app, or use it to build a competing product. Everything in the app that isn't yours — the design, the code, the name, the logos — belongs to us or our licensors.

What you're paying for

Reading your mailbox and seeing what's in it is free, always, and stays free. One payment unlocks the three things that change your mail: leaving a mailing list, clearing a sender's mail out, and blocking a sender.

The payment is taken by Google and it lives with your Google Account, not with BINIT. On a new phone, press I've already bought it and it comes back, as long as you're signed in to the same Google Account.

Refunds, and changing your mind

Google takes the money, so Google gives it back. Ask at Google Play's refund page. We never receive your payment details and cannot refund a purchase ourselves — that isn't us being unhelpful, it's how buying inside an app works.

Separately from that, if you are a consumer in the UK you have 14 days from purchase to cancel a digital purchase under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. The unlock takes effect the moment you buy it, and by buying it you agree we may begin straight away and that you lose that right once it has been fully delivered. Prices are shown in the app before you buy, in pounds sterling for UK customers, including VAT where it applies. Nothing here affects your statutory rights.

What BINIT does when you press the buttons

Every one of those is shown to you before it happens, and none of them runs on its own without you.

What we can't promise

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running but don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, pause or withdraw any feature. If we withdraw BINIT entirely we'll give reasonable notice.

Our liability — read this one

Your side of it

Use BINIT only on a mailbox that is yours, or that you're allowed to act on. Keep a screen lock on your phone — your mailbox sign-in is encrypted behind it, and that protection is only as good as the lock on the device. Where your provider requires an app password rather than your real one, use the app password; that's their rule, not ours.

Don't break the law with it, interfere with the app or anyone else's use of it, probe or overload the services it talks to, bypass the purchase, or use it for anything it isn't for.

Delete the app and everything it worked out goes with it. Mail already moved to Deleted stays where it was moved — deleting BINIT doesn't bring it back. That is also how you end this agreement: stop using the app and delete it. We may stop you using it if you break these terms or if we withdraw the app; where fair, we'll say why. The parts that should outlast it — liability, and the law below — keep applying.

What we hold

Nothing. There is no BINIT server, no account and no analytics, so there is nothing of yours for us to keep, sell, lose or be asked to hand over. The full account of what stays on the phone is on the privacy page.

Services we don't run

BINIT talks to your mail provider, Google for the purchase, Microsoft's sign-in page if your mailbox is Outlook or Hotmail, the public break-in list, and — only if you use it — the password-checking service. Each has its own terms and we aren't responsible for them. Links out of the app go to sites we don't run.

Google

These terms are between you and us, not Google. Google's own terms also apply to the download and to anything you buy through Google Play.

Changes

If these terms change, they change on this page and the date below changes with them. For anything that materially affects you we'll say so in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. Carrying on using the app after that is how you accept the new version; if you'd rather not, stop using it and the app deletes with everything in it.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings there, and nothing here takes away protections you have under the law of where you live. If you have a complaint, email us first and we'll try to sort it out within 14 days.

Everything else

These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about the app. If any part is found unenforceable the rest still applies. We may transfer our rights under these terms to another company in a sale or reorganisation; you may not transfer yours. Not enforcing a term once doesn't mean we've given it up.
